Fishermen highlight benefits of the port of Anconcito.

Since Monday 14 July this year, the fishing sector of Anconcito, in the province of Santa Elena, left the shores of the beach of this parish to modernize their daily fishing effort. The pomeros, merchants, dressers, fishermen, transporters and ship owners already use the Artisanal Fishing Port, which was inaugurated on June 26 by the Government. Melciades Bravo, owner of the King Bravo boat, said the port will save them time and fishing will get a better treatment.

The new port will change the fishing and landscape of Anconcito

The new artisanal fishing port will modernize all the activities that take place around fishing under a concept of integral service.

 

The main work is the pier. Its spike has around 440 m and through 5 pontoons floating, 150 m each. Anconcito records about 600 fibers of all types, mostly operational. It is estimated that the annual volume of fishing landings reaches 3 500 tonnes.
